HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BECOME A TURKEY CITIZEN AND OBTAIN A TURKISH PASSPORT?
There are several methods to qualify and apply to become a Turkish Citizen.
Real Estate Investment
The most popular method is by investing a minimum of US$ 250,000 in real estate. The property(ies) acquired must be held for a minimum of 3 years, but can be rented our during this time. Properties held for 5 or more years are exempt from capital gains taxes. Properties in Turkey are extremely well valued making this investment the most popular of all.
Capital Transfer
The second most popular method of obtaining Turkish Citizenship by Investment is by capital transfer. In this case the investor must establish time deposits with Turkish banks totaling $500,000 or more to qualify and maintain the deposits with the banks for a minimum of 5 years.
After acquiring a property or funding the bank deposits the entire citizenship submission process is estimated to be finished within 60 days. The process can be done remotely, which means that you do not have to be present in Turkey to become a Turkish citizen and obtain a Turkish passport.
